Mission Outreach of Northeast Arkansas Awarded $5,000 from Block Insurance through Liberty Mutual Insurance Company® and Safeco Insurance® Make More Happen Awards™
Community Can Help Increase Donation to $10,000 by Sharing the Story
Paragould, Ark. (August 17, 2020) — Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance are pleased to announce that Block Insurance has earned a 2020 Make More Happen Award, which recognizes its volunteer work with Mission Outreach of Northeast Arkansas (NEA) and demonstrating its commitment to improving the local community. The award includes a $5,000 donation with a chance to double the amount to $10,000 that will go directly to Mission Outreach of NEA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting homelessness, hunger, poverty, and mental illness throughout the region.
Block Insurance has been involved with Mission Outreach of NEA for nearly 40 years. During that time, the team has been an insurance advisor, community resource and has volunteered within the center. Each year Block Insurance sponsors and serves meal at the center, campaigns for donations and hosts an annual sock drive to gift residents a new warm pair of socks during the holidays.
The $10,000 Make More Happen Award will help Mission Outreach of NEA secure educational materials needed to to teach residents life skill classes in parenting, anger management, job preparation, healthier lifestyles, and financial education which will impact the region and its future generations.

Beginning on August 19th, the story of Block Insurance and Mission Outreach NEA will be featured on the official Make More Happen microsite https://www.agentgiving.com/story/block-insurance/ giving the nonprofit a chance to earn the additional $5,000. If the story receives at least 500 shares to Facebook the donation will be doubled to $10,000.

Throughout 2020, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select a total of 34 independent agents nationwide for a Make More Happen Award donating up to $340,000 to the nonprofits they support. Agencies became eligible for the award by submitting an application demonstrating their commitment to a specific nonprofit, along with photos of a project they worked on.
